via the effervescent Attached or Single - Single although some parts are attached they're looser than they used to be. Creaky somewhat. Best Friend - My Sister Cake or Pie - I'll cheat and say cheesecake. It's the closest thing to both. Day of Choice - Don't have a favorite day, all my days are different. Essential Item - My big black bag (messenger bag I traded my son for the big brown backpack) Favorite Color - Orange, runner up is yellow. Gummy Bears or Worms - Eh, gummies don't send me. The flavor is off compared to what it was when they first erupted on the scene. Hometown - Born Cols Ohio but I most loved living in Lexington Kentucky. Favorite Indulgence - I'm rather self indulgent really. I guess reading is my favorite time waster. January or July - October. And not just because it's my birth month either. I love how the weather starts to change from hot days to chill eves with all that delicious fog in the mornings. Kids - I've three 2b & 1g. Life isn’t complete without - something to do. Marriage Date - Oct 20th 1990 Number of Brothers and Sisters - One sister. Oranges or Apples - Two of one and one of the other please. Phobias - Not true ones where I go into a puddle over something. Quotes - What fresh hell is this? - Dorothy Parker / Ruh Roh! - Scooby Doo / I never paint dreams or nightmares. I paint my own reality. - Frida Kahlo / Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. - Theodore Geisel Reasons to Smile - birdsong, sane smiles from strangers, small cozy things, parpings and tootings of your child's learning to play a giant curled tube of metal, dandelion puffs, the little wrinkles some people get when they smile with their eyes. Season of Choice - Autumn, especially with color changes, cool weather and harvest time. (I stole Scotto's answer) Tag Seven Peeps - Yuk those things are creepy. Maybe a Dove bar but no thanks to Peeps. Unknown Fact About Me - Hmmm. One of my eyes has a star shape in the iris formed from an uneven distrubution of the tawny part of the hazel. Vegetable - Cukes! *shifty eyes* On sammiches! *beam* Worst Habit - I'm a slob and can be very stubborn in an unobtrusive way. X-ray or Ultrasound - Both. Your Favorite Food - Depends on the season but I prefer warm food over chilled unless it's fruit; which I prefer at room temperature or frozen like smoothies. Zodiac Sign - Libra, Earth Rooster, Crow, personal totem - toad, totem for communications class - pinata! I finally found toad as totem described online after all these years. Oh and over here too. And here is some pretty stuff with toad on it. |

Not shown here is how the program shows your original text next to a box with the words that were analysed in different highlighted colors. The table at the bottom reflects those colors but they didn't translate to the blog. I had to cut and paste to show the results. You can do yours at Book Blog's Gender Genie.

From NFPS - The Guru Nature, Foreground, Big Picture, and Shape
You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable. Grabbing some more me-time at the library. Looking up some stuff about mom's meds and products we think we like lots. So far we've tried the body lotions and laundry detergent. J. R. Watkins Looked up a promising looking curriculum tied to Elizabeth Hayden books but it looks like the excerpt I found was never put into action. I was delighted to find a reader's guide tied to a curriculum of fictional work. Alas, it never came to fruition. Tried to email oldest kid's school secretary about getting on an email list. It keeps bouncing back. Why do schools pay so much for computer people who don't seem to do a hell of a lot. Maybe they have two hats and I'm being an ass but it seems like the school's sites around here could be sharper and well, maybe have some friggin content? Email problems are rife too. It's just ridiculous I think. List of websites from oldest kid's syllabus: http://glencoe.com/ http://www.aetv.com http://www.historychannel.com http://www.funbrain.com http://www.streaming.discoveryeducation.c Was looking at my Spanish course description and saw that there are travel opportunities. The ones that look best for me are the semester offerings. Unfortunately it looks like the "key" part of it is staying with a host family. hrm. I'm a little uncomfortable with that to say the least. I think I'm too old and set in my ways to do such things any more. And the price tag! Ouch. But it does cover a lot of ground. So, we'll see. Maybe my student loan will cover such a thing? More ouch for the future but no harm in asking, yes? Interesting history comic via Current Mood: |

this quiz was hard because on many of these I like both options! and I forgot to get the link :p Score Love Language 7 Words of Affirmation 7 Quality Time 3 Receiving of Gifts 7 Acts of Service 6 Physical Touch How to interpret your Profile Score: Your highest score indicates your primary love language. Your second highest score indicates your secondary love language. If two scores are identical, you are bilingual (you have two primary love languages). If the scores of your primary and your secondary language are close (for example, 10 & 9 respectfully), it indicates both are important to you. Whatever a significant other does to express love in either of these languages will get emotional points with you. The highest possible score for any language is 12. Having a clear picture of your primary & secondary love languages will explain much of your past behavior Think back over the past and ask yourself "What have I most often requested from significant others?" Chances are your answer will lie within the scope of your primary & secondary love languages. You have been requesting that which would meet your deepest need for emotional love. ====================== love the graphics for this one. Your result for Which Chess Piece are You Test?... The King's MerchantCongrats! Only 5-7% of the population score this!
The King's Merchant is an analyzer of situations, but function to repair problems. They prefer dealing with tangible problems and proven experience. They are naturally quiet and open to information and new approaches. Because of this they are a useful source for information. They may be introverted, but are adept at controlling interactions with others, and may be forceful concerning their influence. They focus on efficiency and skills. The balance they bring is one that encourages groups to think then act. They are capable of holding a cool head in stressful situations and help others assess the reality of any situation. They can be difficult to understand because they do need space to charge. Communication is key here; others need to realize that the King’s Merchant communicates without the need for verbal cues. The King's Merchant prefers to practice their passion in seclusion. The result however is one of virtuosity that other types find difficult to match or even out do. Because they focus highly on the task at hand they may fail to see the long term expenses. They may also not communicate their understanding of a situation having expected others to see it in their most practical way. They are valuable assets for friends. You should be pleased scoring as a 'Pawn' - it proves that you are a constructive and contributing member of society. |

Occasionally I check my HauntSpace account. I forget about it because it's too ugly to use (sorry!). Really, it reminds me too much of MySpace which I feel is insanely unattractive to use. I noticed that a couple of friend list ppl have interesting links up. One was some skeletal funniness at YouTube. I think the commentors that got all in a bunch over the language mistake are a little twerpish. I also made an account at Vox (isn't sixapart the same ppl?) which I obviously promptly forgot! I think I did that at the same time as Haunt Space because of the takeover at LJ. I was feeling edgy about whether or not things here were gonna go too stupid. So far though I reckon LJ has remained enough of the same so that I've not even had a bump in my experience with it. I remember now. I liked Vox because it has a place to list books and stuff like that, collections is what it calls it. No work for me today. College personnel are in meetings all day. Tomorrow I'm finalizing my fall schedule. Upside to this semester: one online class and one communications. Downside: two math classes back to back! Can we say holy shit? Yes. We certainly can. What was your favorite game as a child? What's your favorite now? I loved to have pretend adventures to space or underground via Scooby Doo or such. We played "birds" for weeks one summer using old blankets as wings and nests. Why my cousins put up with that kind of game I have no idea since their idea of playing was to throw mud on the side of the house or hit their tied up dog with sticks and rocks. Part of the birds game involved jumping on beds so I guess that's what held their interest. Nowadays I like to play MMORPG, namely World of Warcraft. Not as much flexibility in characters but it works for me. Roleplaying doesn't catch my interest much though. I can do it for a bit but it wears thin pretty quickly. What should cheese go on, and what should cheese NOT go on? Cheese should go on any food item that it makes all the tastier. Spray cheese? Please! That ain't cheese. Do NOT say Velveeta to me unless you are prepared to have a major hork on your shirtfront. Cheese should NOT go on a plate into the microwave. Or on a skillet to melt then get transferred to a plate as if it were an actual meal or any part of an actual meal. Hear me sis? I know you still do this! If you made up your own cereal, what would it consist of, and what would you call it? It would consist of a box of flakes or bits accompanied by smaller packets of stuff to add. The packets would range from raisins to chocolate bits and everything in between so that people could customize their breakfast or snack. I'd call it Bit O' This. Or maybe Tiddlywinks. |
